COMMENTS Gregory: Red Stick Rumble Tucker: Short Story
How the Irish saved the War is a story that takes place during World War Two. The Germans have pushed the allies to the breaking point, when the Irish stepped in. The Irish did not want to be forced under the German rule, nor do they want to side with the allies for the fear of being attacked, so thee leaders of Ireland gathered together for a meeting. The Irish leaders agreed to send the allies supplies, but only if it was off of the Germans radar.     How the Irish saved the War shows the after effect of the Irish plan and allows the reader to be the judge as to if it was a well thought out idea. The book gives one a first hand look at the power that one country has is a global war. Also, along the way, one sees elders consumed by power, commoners rising up for what they believe in, and unexpected leaders take a stand for the people. The author of How the Irish Saved the War used action and trickery to bring a otherwise boring old textbook alive. Overall How the Irish Saved th
I think I saw someone, squealed a little girl dashing ahead of her parents. The voices were louder than I remembered. Their footsteps drew closer; I could hear every crunch in the path as they walked. Where was I? Who were they? Why me? These three questions raced through my mind as I laid under a thicket of thorns. I knew that we should not have snuck onto the park, but it was too late now, we were caught. I cautiously turned my head and saw my friend getting ready to make a run for it. I tried to move, but my leg wouldn't budge. In that instant, I freed my leg and ran through the thorns, all the while I dared not turn my head incase of being caught. Once I crossed the brook, I peered back to see if my friend had followed. Once I saw that he followed, I sighed with relief, letting the adrenaline surge out of my body.
My name is Evan. I was born in Kentucky and have since moved around frequently. I was home schooled for the past three years of my life since we moved from Tennessee. Altogether, I have lived in four different states. I swim and play soccer, and have played those two sports since elementary school.      I have a brother, a sister, and one dog. I live with both of my parents and my grandpaw. Also, I can sail and fly a jirocoptor, which is a type of a helicopter. My favorite subjects are math and art.

The man in the High Tower

The man in The High Tower is a fiction book. The book consists of many irrelevant moving parts, which tie in to the conclusion. The Man in the High Tower is set after World War Two but if the allies lost. The book showcases many good life lessons and features ups and downs of the towns folk as they try to uncover what both the Japan and Germany are hiding from them. The east, ruled by Germans, and the west ruled by Japan set out of similar quests, but have startling differences and a similar result.       I thought that the book did an outstanding job of connecting two very distinct cultures in a startling way. The book also served as an eye opener as to what could have been the culture we could be living in. The Man in the High Tower gives one a first hand look at how other countries behave in contrast to our own.
